All lodge guides have four or more years experience fishing and exploring these waters. They are both native Chilean and American. Lodge equipment includes rubber rafts with high-back seat, and good vehicles with trailers to reach all the waters they fish.
Streams and fishing in this area are within the boundaries of the Estancia or 45 minutes from it, most of it is wading through the rivers and spring creeks. Many of the streams have seldom, if ever, been fished; some have been discovered only recently. The streams offer diverse fishing; incredible, exciting dry fly action and challenging sight fishing in pristine, clean waters were fish could go up to 32 inches. Trout Unlimited to Float Stock Upper Androscoggin River for Maine Fly Fishing Season
In efforts to increase hatchery fish survival, the Mollyockett Chapter for Trout Unlimited will float stock the upper Androscoggin River this spring under the direction of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW) in time for the Maine fly fishing season. By attaching a net to a drift boat, hatchery fish are gradually released in locations along the watershed. Last year was the first year the Maine DIFW stocked the upper Androscoggin using drift boats.
